Literature Text

I look down at the scars you gave me
All the cuts, all the bruises
They each represent something different
Fun times we had
Hard times we had
Mean times I had
But each was special to me
Because they were the only thing you gave me
That didn’t disappear.

The one on my forehead;
When you were drunk
And hit me with the bottle
The one on my left arm;
When you stopped me from running
You clawed at my skin
The one on my right thigh and hip;
You got carried away
When you proved your love
The new one on my cheek;
A simple slap
Your morning gift.

I remember every scar you gave me
But you won’t
You’ll be too busy
Thinking about the other gifts you’ll give me.
Your gifts are my s c a r s.

okay. i completely changed this poem, even the theme of it. it's loosely based around the original, but not too much.
I'm not overly proud of this. honestly, I have done better.
Still, hope you like this brand new poem :heart:
